2020 NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers finally returned to Green Bay to reprise his role as the franchise QB1 after months of holding out. The quarterback had reportedly grown disgruntled with the Packers management’s undertakings and decided to put his foot down gain some more respect.

And now, it seems he’s finally being heard. The quarterback’s request to trade for wide receiver Randall Cobb was entertained and Rodgers can now has much more control over his future thanks to a contract restructure.

But this isn’t about Aaron Rodgers. Here we are going to talk about the next Aaron Rodgers, New York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson. The BYU Cougars QB was the second overall pick made in the 2021 NFL Draft.

The Packers and Jets held a few joint practices before their preseason tie held this past week. While Rodgers didn’t suit up for the game, Zach Wilson threw for two touchdowns.

After spending some time with the young QB in training and seeing his game on the field, Aaron Rodgers is clearly impressed with what he’s seen so far.

“He’s a good young kid, has a nice disposition,” Rodgers said via Yahoo Sports. “That kid can throw the heck out of that ball and that was a nice one down the right sideline at the end of the first. I’m so excited for what he can do in this league.”

Wilson’s heroics helped the Jets maintain their winning streak in the preseason, while the Packers lost their second game in a row. During the game between the two sides, Rodgers was seen chipping in with some tips for the young QB who dazzled when the floodlights shone bright.
