Aaron Rodgers Candid Take on Davante Adams Depicts His Diffidence for Inexperienced Receivers: “He Has Been A Safety Blanket”

Aaron Rodgers is a man who means business. The experience of playing in the NFL for 18 years molded him into a cult player who knows what is best for himself and his team. The Packers QB is opinionated and always presents his views in a frank and fearless manner.

As a result, he expressed his usual best as he sat with TV host Erin Andrews before the start of the season. In a freewheeling conversation, A-Rod spoke about many topics, and shed light on a few areas he has not touched on before. One aspect that stood tall in the conversation was his bonding with former teammate Davante Adams.

Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams: Men on a mission

Davante Adams is not with the Packers anymore. He has moved on. However, the Packers still miss him. At least Rodgers does. Talking about Adams, the veteran showered praises on the explosive WR and touched upon their on-ground chemistry.

“It has been strange for sure. He has been a safety blanket. Just a man of games which is of a high level, or non-verbal communication. The stuff we can do in our sleep. That takes years and years of experience and game to play together,” says the star campaigner about his time with Adams. 

When Davante Adams decided to move to Vegas, Aaron Rodgers was surprised. He even made a request to which Adams couldn’t say no, but the receiver did, in the end. The fact that Aaron Rodgers is at the fag end of his career also plays a role in why Adams left the scene, despite being told to stay.

What next for Rodgers

A seasoned campaigner, he counts on experience to meet expectations. It is the reason the absence of an experienced partner is hurting him. However, Rodgers is not giving up on the new members either.

The Packers icon is mentoring them and sharing one-on-one conversations to take up the role of being able performers. So, the bottom line is that the star is missing his partner but has high hopes for the young talents.
