The NFL’s regular season has taken a fascinating turn. Baker Mayfield became a true journeyman after jumping ships multiple times. But his debut with the Rams is getting wide attention. He pulled off something that several other quarterbacks could not achieve. Aaron Rodgers also had praise for LA’s new quarterback.

During the Pat McAfee Show, Aaron Rodgers sat with the crew and talked about a legion of subjects. Baker Mayfield was also a point of conversation after making a spectacular debut with the Rams. A-Rod was in disbelief to see how Mayfield acclimated to the new place quickly.
Aaron Rodgers mentioned, “It’s definitely easier for a guy who’s played football, play meaningful snaps, and started. However, I was thinking I don’t think that he’s been in the system before, so that must have been really difficult because everybody had the same types of plays. I felt like we were in the 2010s where there’s certain teams of the copy teams where you’re running different plays and teams start copying you, and then those plays go around the league. Somebody runs like the same type of play but the terminology is so different.”
“I’m just guessing that he’s never been in this type of terminology before, so that makes the win even more impressive. A lot of credit to him coming in on what, on a Tuesday? And then starting, or it didn’t start, but he played enjoy the game on Thursday. That’s pretty impressive,” He added.

Baker Mayfield learned the Rams’ schematics and picked a sweep. It is something Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen could not achieve. Mahomes and Allen have not changed teams, but Mayfield pulled magic.

After pulling off a spectacular win, the Rams entered the bye week. Baker Mayfield did the unbelievable and received a lot of praise. The Rams would be on the road for their next game against the Packers. The game at Lambeau Field could have Aaron Rodgers go against the new Rams quarterback.
Rams’ HC Sean McVay told reporters that QB John Wolford has a neck injury expected to sideline him Monday night in Green Bay. This means the Rams’ starting QB vs. the Packers, to no one’s surprise, will be Baker Mayfield.

Rams HC Sean McVay said they sidelined QB John Wolford due to a neck injury. It would place Baker Mayfield as the starter, and he will go against Aaron Rodgers on Monday Night Football. Mayfield has only faced Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers once in his career, and this will be his second.
