The signing of Allen Lazard is just one of the steps in their plan to build a strong team for the upcoming season and to facilitate a trade for Aaron Rodgers. The former Packers WR has a tight bond with Rodgers as his former receiving mate. And the duo seems to be all geared up for their possible tenure with the Jets.

Rodgers was seen working out with Allen Lazard on the latter’s latest IG story. It’s clear that the two players have a great working relationship, having spent time together on the Packers. Lazard has been one of Rodgers’ favorite targets on the field, and their chemistry is evident in their play. The Jets will hope that the addition of Lazard, along with the potential acquisition of Aaron Rodgers, will give them the firepower they need to compete at the highest level. 

Exploring the Jets roster decisions with Rodgers’ trade

The fact that Rodgers is taking the time to work with Lazard, even before the deal is finalized, is a good indication that he’s serious about making a move to the Jets. Of course, there are still plenty of unknowns when it comes to the potential Rodgers trade. The Packers are unlikely to let their star quarterback go without a fight, and negotiations between the two teams could take some time. 

In the meantime, the Jets have made some serious roster decisions, beginning with their signing of Lazard. Adding the WR to the roster provides a recognizable target for Rodgers to eventually throw at. Additionally, the Jets have also made some serious decisions in their QB room, which are necessary to accommodate a powerhouse like Aaron Rodgers joining the team.
