The Los Angeles Rams came into the 2022 season with high expectations. They are the reigning Super Bowl champions, after all. But they quickly realized the competitiveness of the NFL. And their season has turned from bad to worse after news came out regarding DT Aaron Donald.

Donald went down with an injury in the match-up against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. The Rams have found out the extent of his injury.

The Aaron Donald Injury report

The Rams are dealing with multiple injuries in their squad. And defensive tackle Aaron Donald is the latest on that ever-growing list. Head coach Sean McVay has revealed that the Rams star sustained a high ankle sprain in the week 12 game against the Chiefs. Although McVay said that he isn’t sure about the severity of the injury, reports are that the DT might be out for 3-4 weeks.

“Obviously we’ll take the appropriate steps for Aaron in terms of how we move forward and what that means as far as his availability for this week and the weeks to come,” McVay said

Wide receiver Cooper Kupp is already on the injured reserve with a similar injury. The Rams have also lost wide receiver Allen Robinson II for the rest of the season due to a stress fracture on his foot. It is somehow getting worse for the reigning Super Bowl champions with each passing week. The loss to the Patrick Mahomes-led Chiefs was the Rams’ eighth of the season.

The Rams’ season has been disappointing, to say the least. The team that won the Super Bowl last season only has three wins in 11 games so far this time around. And there are no indications of it getting any better anytime soon.

With the team dealing with constant injuries, coach McVay has found it difficult to name a starting line-up. And that has affected the rhythm of the Rams. They are on a five-game losing streak, having last won against the Carolina Panthers in a week six clash at home.

Their main weapon, QB Matthew Stafford is on concussion protocol and missed the game against the Chiefs. Stafford had also missed the week 10 clash against the Arizona Cardinals due to a concussion. The Rams are fourth on the NFC West table and playoffs seem highly improbable though they still have a mathematical chance. Where on the divisional table will the Rams finish this season?
