A Year After Bagging $245 Million Deal With Broncos, QB Russell Wilson and Ciara Are Touching Lives in Seattle, Pioneering a New Program

After a devastating few years, the Broncos finally decided to up their offense. Russell Wilson was signed into the roster with a 5-year extension worth a staggering $245 million. There wasn’t a happier fan than a Broncos fan last year after finally getting a top-of-the-market QB on their team. However, all the hopes and dreams were shattered in a matter of a season after the whole team’s bad performance. And they are still regarded as one of the worst offensive teams in the league.

There were thousands of speculations about why Russell couldn’t perform the way everyone expected him to. However, they are still speculations and the new season already knocks on the door. Although there isn’t any certainty whether Russel will perform better in the upcoming season, he has certainly won the hearts off the court.

Russell Wilson has always been the helping type

The XLVIII Super Bowl champ is known for his contributions off the field for more than a decade. At a very young age, he started Russell Wilson Passing Academy in his hometown of Richmond, Virginia, to help young kids with a passion for football. The program has been fairly successful for the last 12 years. Fans all over the country came in support of the Super Bowl champ. And yet again, he came out with another wonderful surprise that left the fans in awe.

Back when Russell was playing for the Seahawks, he announced with his singer wife, Ciara, that they were launching “Why not you academy” in the state of Washington to approach education with an adaptive approach. They made it very clear that they weren’t doing this for political stunts, and they insisted that this approach will inspire the new generation with a leadership approach. And, after almost two years, this initiative has actually become very successful.

Why Not You Academy and how it approaches education

This academy is situated in Washington with students from 45 different middle schools around the area. The student body consists of students ranging from 9th to 12th grade. It offers a unique way of teaching that focuses on diversity, real-life experiences, and building relationships to prepare students for any stage of their lives.

Why Not You Academy recruits teachers from all over the world to enhance the worldwide diversity of students. This program is intended to help students get out of their shells and learn skills that will land them jobs and opportunities after graduation. Experienced mentors are caring teachers are a few of the biggest advantages of the school.
