Back in 2022, the San Fransisco 49ers acquired star running back Christian McCaffrey. The trade saw Christian move on from Carolina after spending over five amazing years with the team. At the time, Panthers general manager Scott Fitterer had told the two-time Pro Bowler he would “absolutely not” be traded. Prompting McCaffrey to even buy himself a lavishly comfortable house. However, just six games into the 2022 season, McCaffrey was made aware of his next destination.
After a year, the now San Fransisco 49ers player is looking to dispose of his multi-faceted Charlotte penthouse, and the valuation is expected to be somewhere around $3.75 million.

McCaffrey owns a potential city record per-square-foot penthouse in downtown Charlotte. This penthouse holds the last of McCaffrey’s connection to Carolina and looks like Christian is ready to sever that thread once and for all.

Sitting atop a 22-story condo building in the city center, the three-bedroom penthouse comes equipped with a private turf terrace.
McCaffrey went on to say, “I have very mixed emotions about getting rid of it because of how much it did mean to me.”
The home also has a two-story great room with a wall of windows and a glass-and-steel staircase. Being from the state of Colorado, the Buffalos are well represented in Christian McCaffrey’s house. He commissioned an artist to paint a mural of sorts. In addition to Colorado, art pieces of several musicians and movie stars just bring about a sheer class to his past abode.

The betrayal?
McCaffrey’s initial reaction to being traded from the Carolina Panthers was one of pure ‘rage and anger’. He recalled the entire thing during an appearance on the ‘Bussin’ with the Boys’ podcast, “It’s a weird deal because there’s so many emotions, and the first emotion is probably anger, Like, you guys don’t want me anymore? That’s really what it is. ‘Well, they got a lot for you.’ Nah, like you think you’re better off without me; that’s what it is. You’re pissed off, but then you’re excited. There’s so many emotions that get flooded at you at once.”
McCaffrey felt like he didn’t have enough time to process his emotions, as he had to fly out to San Fransisco that very morning.
