The fans had a rollercoaster ride of emotions ever since 2022 began. The wider receivers got substantial attention in trades and Tom Brady is coming back for one more campaign. It truly looks like an exciting campaign. The fixtures have the fans looming with joy; some feature major prime-time showdowns and international games being hosted.
Various franchises on social media revealed their fixtures with unique approaches. While many franchises simply uploaded a table with the matches, some took it to the next level. The Los Angeles Chargers made an anime-based video spectacle, and the Buffalo Bills also made a video showcasing their matches with significant references. The league made some out-of-the-box thinking to make the schedule release even more entertaining.

After some franchises release their fixtures in a not-so-conventional manner, NFL fans and insiders on Twitter voice their frustration over the weird way to release the match dates.
NFL fanatics have idiosyncratic receptions over Twitter
Tennessee Titans’ Offensive Tackle, Taylor Lewan isn’t really a fan of it. He dislikes how the schedule release premieres are swung out and extravagant.
The @nfl schedule reveal is so overrated. Just tell us who we are playing.

Host Rich Eisen believes that the league just added some makeup to the content. He then makes a uncanny comparison of the schedule event like a show on a bus with no motor.
It’s window dressing for content. Kind of like having a show on a bus with no motor. https://t.co/wPGELSNG0k

Free Agent Linebacker Will Compton also looks rather frustrated over the NFL making the schedule reveal like an event.
Can we just release the NFL Schedule? Holy shit

A user gives the NFL some ideas on how they can actually perform the league matchup schedule reveal.
Schedule Release idea for next year…
– Put the social media teams for all 32 NFL teams in the same place
– Show each schedule release video one after the other
– Have fans vote on which one they like best
This is their Super Bowl. Give the social teams even more shine.

A user believes that the schedule release event was just an unnecessary move.
The NFL making the schedule release an entire event is overkill and unnecessary 😐

Furthermore, a fan posts yet another unpopular opinion. He calls the release day an over-hype.

A user calls NFL’s schedule reveal being extravagant just to showcase how much dominance the NFL has.
A schedule release being this pumped up just shows how much power the NFL has. Ridiculous

Moreover, a fan thinks the event to be a dumb move by the league, when the dates are getting leaked by them.
Primetime NFL schedule release is dumb to me. Especially when we know the opponents/they’re leaking the schedule anyways. Just release it! Every event doesn’t need to be a spectacle.

There really is no league that does a better job of sensationalizing up a fresh stretch of games than the NFL. Whilst it plainly increases attention in the league at a low stage in the season, some fans would like to get down to the nitty gritty and enjoy the games.
