The Dallas Cowboys have remained the ‘Head of the Table’ for the 16th straight year in valuations. Inevitably, they have had the silver trophy drought for over two decades. But they stand more valuable than the Patriots, Rams, Giants, and Bears.
NFL Fans go berserk over the valuation prize
Despite such a big jump in valuation on the Forbes list, NFL fans ridicule the Dallas Cowboys for not clinching a Super Bowl all these years.
A user points out the irony of being valued at $8 billion and two playoffs during the 40-year span.
8 billion and 2 playoff wins in 40 years! #cowgirls

Another user did the math that it is 2.67 billion per playoff win in the last 25 years. He also hailed Jerry Jones to be a marketing genius.
Just think that’s 2.67 billion per playoff win the last 25 years. Impressive… the guy is a marketing genius yet has no idea how to run a football team amazing

One user saw it as the epitome of choosing style over substance.

Safe to say, Jerry Jones has a brilliant mind to make a money-bleeding franchise into a successful one.
A Business Mogul once bailed on purchasing the Dallas Cowboys
Oil tycoon Jerry Jones purchased the Cowboys in 1989, and they have since risen to become the world’s largest sports franchise. But according to Mirror.co.uk, Clint Murchison Jr, the Cowboys’ founding owner, was in negotiations with Donald Trump in 1984 to buy the franchise for $50 million. Trump balked and got his hands on the New Jersey Generals of the USFL for $10 million.
The Dallas Cowboys are the first NFL team worth $8 billion.
Donald Trump nearly bought them for $50M in 1983, but purchased a USFL franchise that folded two years later.

Former POTUS stated in an interview conducted by the New York Times in 1984, “I feel sorry for the poor guy who is going to buy the Dallas Cowboys. It’s a no-win situation for him, because if he wins, well, so what, they’ve won through the years, and if he loses, which seems likely because they’re having troubles, he’ll be known to the world as a loser.”
But Trump’s prediction had a twist of fate, and Jerry Jones will now have the last laugh.
