Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback, Tom Brady, has always been the kind of quarterback who gives his competition their due credit. He does not shy away from the different talents of other QBs on the field. Subsequently, Brady spoke about another contemporary on the Let’s Go podcast.

He was speaking about none other than the Philadelphia Eagles’ quarterback. The Bucs quarterback spoke about the QB’s incredible accomplishment against the Packers and the athletic ability it takes to pull it off.

The veteran QB was praising Jalen Hurts and his phenomenal performance and praised his rare feat.

Jalen Hurts catches Tom Brady’s attention

While the Eagles quarterback threw a well-rounded passing of 150 yards, he also pulled off an impressive 157 rushing yards. For a quarterback, Hurts’ rushing yards are very impressive. On the podcast, Brady was very impressed with them. He mentioned how Hurts pulled it off and actually made it look easy.

Brady talked about the level of the game Hurts and the Eagles were playing and said, “that’s why that team is so successful he’s playing at a very very very high level and they’re a tough team to stop.” Brady was also impressed with why Hurts was able to pull off 157 yards against the Packers and went into great detail about it.

Tom Brady on Hurts’ athleticism

While the feat performed by Hurts was certainly special, Brady breaks down the exact athletic ability the Eagles quarterback possesses to rush 157 yards. He talks about Hurts’ spatial awareness on the field to judge the direction of the defenders that might be coming at him when he’s running. Further, Brady mentioned how Hurts’ ability to rush was not only just based on his athleticism.

He praised the young QB and said, “you have his athleticism but also he knows exactly when to get down he knows exactly when to get out of bounds.” Brady referenced the fact that Hurts is a great combination of excellent athleticism and brains on the field. He also made comparisons between Hurts and himself.

He mentioned that he himself had never rushed for more than 100 yards. The Bucs quarterback seemed almost intimidated by Hurts’ feat of rushing 157 yards. Brady certainly seems like he is on the watch out for the Eagles and their deadly quarterback. However, the question here remains: how will the match-up between two great quarterbacks be?
