On the occasion of his birthday, Sharpe released photos of himself. These photos show what the analyst has been religiously doing over the year. In fact, these photos would put the best in the NFL today to shame.
Sharpe to give players like DK Metcalf a run for his money?
On his birthday, Sharpe shared some photos on his Twitter handle. He posted two photos of himself shirtless and one in custom suits. He wrote, “The front & back of your favorite Unc celebrating his 54th bday. Yes, unc turned 54 today. Had I not told you my age. You prob wouldn’t have guessed it. In the images, we can see Sharpe flexing his muscles. Even at 54, he has impressive arms and back muscles. His incredible conditioning at this age has caught fans and analysts by surprise. It has also left them with a lot of questions regarding how the former TE stays in such shape at his age.
In fact, his remarkable fitness means that the former Broncos defensive player can legitimately compete against athletes who are known to be gym freaks. Sharpe’s current physique can give players like DK Metcalf and Aaron Donald a run for their money. There is no doubt that Sharpe is fit as he has been working out for almost 3 decades. In an interview, he mentioned he used to work out six days a week before. With age, however, he has brought it down to four. He also mentioned his dislike for a sedentary lifestyle and how difficult it was for him to not be active for 3 months after getting both hips replaced.
Sharpe mentioned that his training philosophy has changed over the years. As a retired player, he no longer feels the need to go all-in
every single time. Rather, he focuses on maintenance using moderate weights. He said, “I don’t need to be the strongest 54-year-old in America”. While Sharpe may not be the strongest 54-year-old in the country, fans would agree from his latest photos that the former Broncos player is definitely one of the fittest in his age group in the country.
