NFL veteran and legend Tom Brady is a household name in the United States. With 7 super bowl titles, Brady easily is the best player ever to grace the NFL. However, it seems Brady is not content with the yards on the gridiron alone. In fact, his 84,922 yards on the football field seem short of the long yards he’s now throwing on the real estate field.

Last year, Brady and his wife, Gisele Bündchen, sold their Massachusetts house for a whopping $32 million dollars to a trustee from JDJ Family Office Services. This sale is a result of Brady signing with the Buccaneers and the decision to settle on the East Coast. But this isn’t his first rodeo.

The Tampa Bay QB has sold houses worth over $140 million and has profits of $30 million, but none of these sales come close to arguably his biggest sale on the field, and even more interesting is who he sold this megalith of a project to.
How Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen made a fortune from their “sanctuary”
Brady bought a piece of property in 2008, a year before his marriage to Bündchen. And then, the couple spent around 4 years and around $10 million constructing a massive French Chateau, as their off-season retreat. Or in Brady’s words, “A sanctuary for the family”. An eco-friendly sanctuary with a moat, might we add? And a 6 car garage. And not to forget the infinity pool and the waterfall. All of this on a 4 Acre piece of land, in the same area as US Vice President Kamala Harris’ and former California Governor and actor Arnold Schwarzenegger’s homes.
Fast forward to 2014, and the house is up for sale, listed at a massive $50 million. And it did not take long for the first bid to fly in. Reportedly, this buyer had his eyes on the property the moment they listed it. And paid almost $40 million to finally get this property for himself. This is none other than Rap legend Andre Romelle Young, AKA Dr. Dre.

Dre’s purchase was around the same time that he and his business partner Jimmy Iovine sold Beats Music and Beats by Dre to Apple for a whopping $2.6 billion and $400 million in stocks. And it did not take long for Dre and his family to make their mark on their new home. Soon enough, Dre added an entire studio as big as the house itself, underground. The house later became the subject of a foiled burglary attempt, while Dre was hospitalized for a brain aneurysm.
So what are Brady and Bündchen up to now?
The couple is currently engaged in building another eco-friendly home on their newest plot of land on Indian Creek Island, popularly known as the “Billionaire’s Bunker”. The house is being designed by the same architect as their California house, and along the same lines as well.

We do not predict Brady to move to another team and possibly end his career with the Bucs. So this could eventually turn out to be their permanent residence. But In the long list of things Brady plans on doing post-retirement, will we see him set records in the real estate business as well?
