Terrell Owens believes he can still run with the players today
Terrell Owens has always been looking for opportunities to get back on the field ever since he retired. The NFL Hall of Famer has not been able to play professionally since 2010. During his last campaign with the Cincinnati Bengals, he caught 72 passes for 983 yards and scored nine touchdowns. He has never considered himself retired. Now in 2022, the receiver has finally gotten an opportunity to show he’s still got it.
“I’m looking forward to throwing with Johnny or whomever the quarterback maybe,” Owens said. “If it’s Johnny Football, it doesn’t matter if it’s Pee-Wee Herman. As long as they throw the ball where it needs to be and… put it in my catch radius, I’m going to do my best to make some stuff happen with it.”
Owens still has a lot of confidence in his abilities. He still thinks he can hang with the young blood athletes of today. Once the FCFL season kicks off, we’ll find out how well T.O still plays.
