Antonio Brown is not an active WR in the NFL. However, he has kept the option partially open under some conditions. Six-time Pro Bowl offensive lineman Nate Newton joined Colin Cowherd in ‘The Herd’ from the Chargers-Cowboys’ joint training. The host queried if they would consider rolling the dice over free agent Antonio Brown. Cowherd further mentions that AB can be an incisive character. However, if CeeDee Lamb gets hurt, it could severely weaken the Cowboys’ receiving core.

Nate Newton responded, “No. I wouldn’t. What they need now is stability, and if you’re going to go out and get a veteran guy. Other veterans out there. I love Antonio Brown. I have personal relations with him through Deion Sanders, but I’ve seen some of the things he’s done, and when we need him the most he cannot. He’s been known to let you down, so Antonio, I love you. No sir, not with the Dallas Cowboys.”

Antonio Brown has had a marvelous time in the NFL. He has put up spectacular numbers that reinforce his career to become Hall of Fame worthy. But his off-field antics, like Newton mentioned earlier, are something one cannot overlook.

Despite the disturbance in the force, it does not incline Jones to bring a veteran WR like Antonio aboard. The chances for AB to make a resurgence go back to NIL, and one has to wait to see him back in any capacity.
