However, things went south inside the 49ers squad, where the rookies arranged a dinner party and in return, received a humongous bill. While this story took rounds on the internet, former WR Dez Bryant came up clean, admitting that he would never do anything like that.

Rookie dinners might be the only time in the season when youngsters try to stay low, especially in front of the Vets. However, things never go as expected, and the Rookies often spend lavishly on their first party. The 49ers being a close-knit squad, there was no change in plans, and the defensive squad arranged a meet-up.

The second-round pick of the 2022 NFL draft, Drake Jackson, happened to be the man in the spotlight after receiving a bill of $322,391.05.

Interestingly, $200,000 of which was the tip, and a small chunk around $7500 was the actual price of dinner. As the news gained traction in the social media world, one of the fans poked Dez Bryant to react, asking him whether he had such dinners.

Surprisingly, the bill was actually a manipulated one, with veterans like Arik Armstead playing their juniors. The defensive lineman revealed their pranks on Twitter later on. It shows how bonded they are in such a short period. No wonder why they rank No 1 in limiting their opponents from progressing. The Niners recently secured their division title, and this defensive unit played a major role in the success.
