The John Lynch-led San Francisco 49ers created waves after they traded up to acquire the 3rd overall pick at the 2021 NFL Draft from Miami Dolphins.
The NFC West franchise endured a tough outing in the league last year. They finished at the bottom of their division behind the Arizona Cardinals with a 6-10 record.
The 49ers had to part with ways with two additional 1st-round draft picks (three in total including number 12 in 2021), and a future 3rd round pick to move up the draft selection list. So who will the Red and Gold select when the 2021 NFL Draft starts on April 29th in Ohio?

NFL insider Ian Rapoport was the latest guest to appear on The Rich Eisen Show earlier this week. He spoke about the San Francisco 49ers’ plans for the upcoming draft.
He said, “I would say they definitely know that they are very happy with the third quarterback, whoever it is. So like, they obviously know who they’re not getting.
“I think everyone knows who they’re not getting, right. I mean, that would be Trevor Lawrence and Zach Wilson. I believe they are more than happy with number three.”

“It seems like they know who they’re taking….we can talk about the Mac Jones buzz, I think a lot of people originally wanted Trey Lance, because he would probably fit here, I can make arguments on all sides.
“But I believe that very few people actually know the answer to this,” Rapoport said on the show.
Recent reports are linking the Niners to Mac Jones (Alabama), Trey Lance (NDSU), and also Justin Fields (Ohio State). But there is a chance that they will move for someone like Ja’Marr Chase (LSU) or Heisman Trophy winner De’Vonta Smith (Alabama).
