NFL Network correspondent and insider Ian Rapoport were the latest to comment on the rumors linking Zach Wilson to GM Joe Douglas and the Jets.
He said, “It would be the shock of the century if it’s not done….They talked about Darnold, they’re getting ready to be done, and then at some point, it was like, wait, why haven’t they asked about number two?”
“Everybody knew the Jets didn’t want to trade number two I was I’ve been surprised that they haven’t gotten any offers and almost no calls or conversations for number two. Just like I’m sure nobody’s called the Jaguars for one because I have a pretty good sense that they’re not trading that thing,” Rapoport said on the show.
