The situation of Aaron Rodgers in the offseason is still a question surrounded by mystery. Despite the interest shown by A-Rod to move to New York Jets from Green Bay Packers, the standoff between the two franchises continues without any conclusive ending. With just 7 days left for the 2023 draft, he still remains at Green Bay. With the Packers not wanting to fully rebuild their roster, the speculations still remain that they are looking at a few draft picks from the Jets for the trade of Rodgers.
In the midst of the ongoing dilemma, Jets’ Defensive Rookie of the Year Sauce Gardner opened up about being able to lure A-Rod to potentially move to New York.

Sauce Gardner reveals his first text to Aaron Rodgers
During a recent episode of the ‘New Heights’ podcast with Jason and Travis Kelce, the brothers talked about how Gardner wore a cheesehead after their victory over the Packers in October at Lambeau Field. Traditionally, the Packers fans are known for wearing cheese hats on their heads. Gardner talked about how his first text to A-Rod was a picture of a cheese head.
Gardner said, “Talk about Aaron Rodgers, my first text message to him was a picture of a cheese head. You know what I mean, I didn’t even say a word, I just sent him a picture and clicked send. He just text me back like why do you have that LOL.”
Gardner further talked about how he is waiting for the Aaron Rodgers deal to be finalized so that they can play in the same team. In an effort to lure A-Rod to New York, Gardner went on to burn the cheesehead last month.
Will burning a cheese head be enough to lure A-Rod?
In March, Gardner along with two of his teammates- Breece Hall and Garrett Wilson burned the cheese head hat. He posted a video of the event on YouTube, in an effort to convince Rodgers to come to New York for a Super Bowl contention season in 2023. In the video, Gardner also spoke about how he talked to Aaron Rodgers regarding the whole incident last year and about how they have made their peace with it.
