Former Atlanta Falcons cornerback Deion Sanders sparked a controversy with an Instagram post. He shared a quote on parenting and how ‘spanking children’ leads them to respect others as adults.
“My parents spanked me as a child, now I suffer from a psychological condition called respect for others,” Coach Prime’s post said.

To be fair, Sanders did clarify his stance a bit in the caption. He said that yesterday may not work today but for him, yesterday was his childhood. “God bless the old and the new generation,” he added in the caption to the quote. Sanders also tagged his mother in the post. Maybe coach Prime was just remembering his childhood. Still the post was enough to cause a storm.
Many fans criticized him saying that parenting could be done without this method. But the two-time Super Bowl champion got some support from WWE legend Goldberg.

Amid a fair amount of criticism for his take on parenting, Sanders did manage to get some support. WWE legend Goldberg was one of those who supported the take. And he did that without writing a word about it.
Goldberg just used a clap emoji in Sanders’ comment section to express his opinion. Maybe that is their style of parenting that the duo has always known. Or maybe the fans are judging them with the standards of a generation that they do not belong to. Whatever the case, the post has garnered a lot of attention.
