As Marvin Harrison Jr. awaits his future franchise ahead of the NFL draft, he has a different reason to celebrate. The occasion? His girlfriend, Charokee Young. While Martin Harrison Jr. was building a reputation in the heart of America on the gridiron, Young was busy building her name on the track. Seems that the efforts of the Texas A&M alum have reaped the rewards that Marvin Harrison Jr was proud to share on his Instagram.

Throughout the years, Harrison Jr has been the one to keep his dating profile low. Yet, Harrison wasn’t about to hold back when it came to his girlfriend achieving her dreams. Taking to his Instagram, Harrison shared a post by Young, highlighting her commendable achievement in her sport. The track and field star was elected to represent her native, Jamaica, in an international event. Young captioned, “Thrilled and blessed to announce that I’ve been selected to represent Team Jamaica at the World Indoor Championships in Glasgow! Grateful for this incredible opportunity.”

Of course, this was not the first time Young had taken immense pride in representing her country, Jamaica. She was a part of the 2020 Olympics as a part of the Jamaican team as well. Per her World Athletics profile, Charokee Young is a 2X World Champion Silver Medalist and 2X NACAC Under-23 champion and usually partakes in the 400m race. As the two have kept their dating profile a secret, the start of their relationship is still a mystery. However, the two have been commenting on each others’ Instagram posts for about a year. According to this, the two star athletes might have started seeing each other when Harrison was in his sophomore year, as he had given up his senior-year eligibility to enter the draft.

However, being ESPN’s top choice, you can do things a bit differently. Harrison Jr. has reportedly waived his shot at the NFL combine, per USA Today. The same report projected Harrison’s wish to train under Ohio State’s strength and conditioning coach Mickey Marotti as a possible reason. What are your thoughts on this? Let us know in the comments!
