Slowly and steadily, Deion Sanders Jr. is taking over as the guy who gives a fitting reply to all the Sanders family detractors. Looking at his recent social media posts, Deion Sanders Jr. is ready to expand his identity from being the ‘social media guy of the Sanders family‘ to the ‘guy who shuns the haters down on the Sanders family’. First, it was reputed media houses like Sports Illustrated and Yahoo Sports facing Sanders Jr.’s wrath for criticizing his father, Coach Prime. Now, it’s Mike Farrell who’s looking down Sanders Jr.’s barrel.

It stems from the ongoing beef between Deion Sanders and former Buffs student-athlete Xavier Smith. When Smith claimed Deion Sanders did not give him a fair chance at CU, rather treated him as a backup player, the internet took that very seriously. Shedeur Sanders jumped to his father’s defense, tweeting, “Ion even remember him tbh. Bro had to be very mid at best.” The comment brought even more criticism on Shedeur than the original incident brought on Deion Sanders. Well, staying strong as the Sanders family, Deion Sanders too took to his X to defend his son. “He will be a top 5 pick,”.

Mike Farrell took the Sanders standing up for each other too adversely as he tweeted “This family is so thin-skinned,” on X. Little did he know that his comment would evoke another Sanders standing up to defend his family. “You so b*tch made dawg it don’t even makes sense… You wrote multiple articles talking down on the family, but when we finally respond we’re ‘thin-skinned’,” Sanders said on X. Deion Sanders had proved it during his criticizing session on SI and Yahoo to be ready to face his sharp words when commenting bad about his father.

Deion Sanders Jr.’s beef with SI and Yahoo

The Well Off Media owner has not been easy on these media houses either, calling them out for trying to bring his father down. When it came to Yahoo commenting on CU players not getting drafted in the NFL draft for 3rd consecutive time in 2024, Sanders Jr. didn’t like it. So much so that he claimed that Yahoo Sports was using the boys and Prime’s name “for clout.”

For SI, even after naming Prime the SI Sports Person of the Year 2023 and their Instagram page having Deion Sanders and Co. pinned as their top post, their now-deleted post read, “Deion Sanders’ kids are recruiting transfers via DM while the Colorado coach avoids home visits.”

It naturally pushed Sanders Jr’s buttons, as he took a direct fierce jibe at them writing, “Hating while y’all still have our picture pinned at the top of y’all page.” What do you think about Sanders Jr.’s repeatedly shielding his family? Drop your thoughts in the comments.
