Deiondra Sanders’s biggest supporter in her precarious pregnancy journey is none other than her father Deion Sanders. Right from teasing his daughter about her baby’s height to making her feel like the most appreciated daughter, Deion Sanders has done it all. In a blog posted on 7th June on Deiondra’s YouTube video, she recalled the moment how her father reacted when she first revealed about her having a baby.

Deiondra got candid about her having the worst of jitters when she had the confrontation call from her father. However, Prime showered some “words of encouragement” on her way to make her feel good about it. Deiondra was worried that her father might get a bit upset since he preferred the old school ways and Deiondra was not yet married to her baby daddy. To ease those nerves down, Deion Sanders only needed to remind her of her age. “You dang 40,” Prime said then.

Even though Prime was not “ready to be a grandfather,” he gladly accepted that her daughter might have different expectations of her life. So he encouraged her to continue being the “well-carried” woman that she is. “Everything I’ve heard about you from people who come across your path, they say good things. How you carry yourself like a real, a well-carried woman so I’m not upset at you,” Deion Sanders said to his daughter then.

Along with being a ‘well-carried’ woman, Deiondra Sanders is one who is not afraid to go against her baby daddy Jacquess to make an important life decision about their baby. Since the two are not married, Deiondra Sanders revealed that both her and Jacquees’ last names would go in their baby’s name, a decision that she revealed on her X account. However, Deion Sanders might have already thought of a perfect nickname for his grandson.

While Deion Sanders didn’t attend Deiondra’s gender reveal, he didn’t forget to send his blessings her way on her special day. In a video that Deiondra posted on her IG, Deion Sanders was found pouring out his heart for Deiondra’s soon-to-be baby boy straight from his private jet. “Much love, much respect, and I’m proud of my big, big baby girl, she’s gonna have a little boy. So the little engine’s gonna be a little boy, which I’m excited,” Sanders said excitedly.

The ‘lil engine’ Prime referred to was his nickname for his grandson. The story of this nickname started back in April when Deiondra and her boyfriend were touring Europe. During that, Deiondra posted Jacquees’ picture on IG, captioning it as “The world is yours to explore; go conquer it.” The post quickly caught Prime’s attention as he commented, “I pray he does. And y’all have no idea how much I pray for y’all. Especially Yo Lil Engine.” Since then, ‘lil engine’ has officially become Prime’s nickname for his grandson.
