We want JuJu! That’s all Colorado Buffaloes can think about. Even Peggie Coppom- the team’s 98-year-old superfan- rallied to get Julian Lewis to Boulder. However, it seems like HC Prime Time had a lot to do with changing the USC Trojans quarterback’s mind and it seems like he is actually considering the Buffs! Hear it from the QB himself.

Lewis is to visit Boulder in June. But in a recent interview with On3 Recruits, he shared his views about Colorado and especially how Coach Prime boosted them into the limelight. “Yeah no, it’s definitely crazy right now, like I was just talking about it and I was like Colorado before last year, I mean I would have never looked at him, smiled at him, none of that stuff but uh yeah. Coach Prime, them going there really really boosted their whole situation,” said Lewis.

Lewis isn’t wrong here. After Deion Sanders started with Colorado, the program received a lot of attention. Even celebrities have been talking about them. Remember how Sanders hosted rapper Lil Wayne back in 2023? The artist got a nice tour of the team’s facility and the whole thing was captured on cameras. Lil Wayne even exclaimed, “That’s the f***ing locker room?” when he was shown where the athletes suited up.

Clearly, Julian Lewis is excited to see if the Buffs will be a great fit for him. However, there’s something more. The team can offer Lewis some unique opportunities. He could potentially go in immediately with a starting role. After all, Shedeur Sanders is projected to be a first-round pick in 2025 and Colorado would need someone like Lewis. Similarly, for Lewis, the spotlight he will receive in Colorado can be life-changing.

According to the sources, the Carrollton High School QB’s official visit is scheduled between June 21 and June 23. This would mark his third trip to Boulder. So a potential change from USC to Colorado could happen in the near future. However, the player is keeping his options open.

Further, other than Coach Prime, there is another person who might act as a Lewis’ North Pole star in his Colorado voyage. Who could it be?

Will friendship play an important role in Julian Lewis’ commitment?

It’s none other than Colorado football commit Mantrez Walker, who could play a significant role in finalizing Lewis’s position in Sanders’s program. The 6-foot-1, 225-pound linebacker first visited Colorado last September for the USC game. Being content with the love and support he received from the Buffaloes, Walker wanted to help with the recruiting process.

On May 18, he posted a message to other prospects on X: “If You A Dawg, Come To Colorado.” You must be thinking about how can this affect Lewis’ commitment to Coach Prime’s squad. It is because, as delved by both ESPN and Rivals, Lewis happens to be good friends with Walker. “I’ve been knowing JuJu (Lewis) since we were young. We played for the same little league team. Me and him have been tight for a minute,” claimed Walker.

He also loved the fact that he got to meet celebrities at Boulder. He met boxer Ryan Garcia, Terrell Owens, and a whole bunch of NFL Hall of Famers. Clearly, Walker loves the star-studded atmosphere.

As the No.1 QB in the class of 2025 will be paying a visit to Boulder soon, Walker will also be in Colorado that weekend. Is it just a coincidence, or a planned action to potentially convince his former teammate, Lewis, to become a future teammate? Fingers crossed for the third time to turn out to be lucky.
