Sit back, grab a cup of joe, and watch the drama unfold. With the NCAA’s investigations on the way, all signs point to Jim Harbaugh and his staff actually “sign stealing”. While the draft report by NCAA clearly stated that Sherrone Moore (current HC for Wolverines) can face a show-clause penalty, Dan Beyer back on Fox Sports Radio on August 4th brought up quite an interesting point. “The Big 10 wimped out,” is what Beyer claimed. As per him, the Wolverines should’ve been hit with a much more serious penalty other than a slap on the wrist.

However, ESPN’s Dan Murphy disagrees. On DraftKings Network, on August 5th, Murphy went on to explain his disagreement with the idea of Michigan being stripped of its championship win. “The honest answer is I don’t know…In its rule book (the NCAA) still has the power to vacate wins, but frankly, everyone saw Michigan win a championship,” Murphy explained. When the allegations came to light, the first step Michigan took was to remove Connor Stalions, followed by handing Harbaugh a suspension. The Wolverines didn’t have their HC present during the championship games and still managed to steamroll. Even back in January, NCAA president Charlie Baker supported the Wolverines. “No one believes at this point that Michigan didn’t win the national title fair and square,” Baker had claimed.

Beyer goes on to agree with Baker. “I think this justifies that they were the rightful national champion,” he mentions. While currently, no signs are pointing towards a loss of title for the Wolverines, the current investigation does raise a lot of alarms for Sherrone Moore. The Silver Bulletin shared on X on August 4th that, “Michigan HC Sherrone Moore is facing a suspension for violations committed.” In the investigation, it was reported that Moore was found guilty of deleting around 52 texts between him and Stalions. This will lead to face consequences for level 1 violations and a possible suspension for the HC. It’s been scandals all year round this time. First the Michigan drama, then Kirby Smart finding himself in a tough spot.

“Crime Culture”

The arrest of RaRa Thomas exposed one major flaw in Kirby Smart’s program. The lack of discipline. Fans had a major outrage back on August 1st. When On3 took to X to share that Georgia had decided to remove RaRa from the team, people just couldn’t stop calling out Smart for brewing an unsafe culture back in the locker room. Since 2023, a total of 29 arrests have been made. This number includes both staff members and players.

Aaron Torres from Fox Sports was not shy in throwing a jab at Smart. “Kirby Smart it’s time to actually hold your guys responsible a little bit,” Torres had mentioned. It’s kind of hard to believe that a guy mentored by THE Nick Saban has allowed this to happen at this camp. While removing RaRa is a step in the right direction, Smart still has players on his team with multiple DUI charges and other problems. The 2024 season is getting quite interesting folks.

If Sherrone Moore is guilty, should Jim Harbaugh's national championship be stripped? Fair or foul?
