Will Howard's NIL deals: A game-changer for college athletes or just a distraction from the game?

As a kid, he had a kin interest in football and to learn the basics of the game; he went to Downingtown West High School, where he excelled as a standout player. As of now, Will Howard’s NIL deal value stands at $973. That’s quite cool! Overall, he stands 22nd for the NIL ranking and 14th for the college football NIL rank. Given his social media following, many brands want to collaborate with him; his Instagram followers are 39,000, while his Twitter followers are over 16,000. Coming to his deals, Howard signed his first deal with Wildcat NIL on February 21, 2023. After that, he paired up with Long Mcarthur Luxury on September 18, 2023. Following this, he then made a contract with Freddy’s, a restaurant chain based in Wichita, Kansas.

Proceeding with his career, he committed to Ohio State, where he inked a contract with the foundation for supporting student-athletes at Ohio State by raising money from fans, donors, and businesses. On top of that, Howard collaborated with EA Sports for college football. He inked a collaboration with the Ricort Automotive Group, which gave him the scarlet-colored Ford Bronco as per their agreement.

Howard started his football journey at Downingtown West High School, where he completed 5308 passing yards with 48 touchdown passes, along with 512 rushing yards and 21 rushing touchdowns. During his senior year, he scored 2543 yards with 27 touchdowns. His senior year performance got him the Maxwell Football Club Pennsylvania Player of the Year award. Apart from that, he also played basketball during high school and scored over 1000 points, showcasing his versatility as a player.

Further forward, I went to Kansas and played for them from 2020 to 2023. His career total at Kansas sums up to 5786 yards and 48 touchdowns, along with 921 rushing yards and 19 rushing touchdowns, during the 34 games he played there for which he played as a starting QB during 27 games.
