The USC Trojans’ quarterback deserves to be in the number 1 Draft spot, as per Deion Sanders’ son. Williams has been at the forefront of all NFL Draft conversations but it seems like certain organizations might not align themselves with his superiority. And Deion Sanders Jr. took it upon himself to speak up against the injustice.

Caleb Williams has been the pride and jewel of the USC Trojans since the past season. The 2022 Heisman Trophy winner was doing well in leading his team until their ill-fated match against Washington, who eventually dashed their dreams of a CFP top 4 spot by defeating them 52-42. Though he couldn’t take the team to a natty win, he sure made a name for himself with a phenomenal individual performance, granting him the No. 1 draft QB spot. But Bleacher Report’s recent rankings suggest otherwise, which prompted Sanders Jr. to take to the mic.

In a recent Instagram story, Deion Sanders Jr. called out the Bleacher Report page for ranking Caleb Williams on the 2nd rank as per NFL Draft picks. For so long, the analysts and the fans have pedestalized Williams as the number one draft prospect, and as such, he took offense to the fact that the USC QB was undercut.

Sanders posted the rankings on his story and wrote, “Shoutout to everybody..But how you gone put somebody in front of Caleb williams? They making it SUPER obvious now dawg…They wild as hell” Caleb Williams has been ranked behind the North Carolina quarterback Drake Maye, who has been speculated to end up in the 2nd position at the Draft. With only 48 days left till the big day, the fans eagerly look on to the day to see who ends up as the top pick. But with everyone in the college world singing his praise, the former offensive lineman for the Tennessee Titans had to say otherwise.

Lewan said harshly, “One guy that, this is up for everybody else to interpret, but I did not get a good vibe from Caleb Williams throughout the combine process,” Lewan said. “I know, a lot of backlash for the boy. He essentially came to the combine for the free gear and the interviews. Only player in Combine history not to do a medical review. Only dude [who] didn’t run, didn’t throw. His choosing not to throw was, ‘Hey there’s a lot of film on me, you can watch that in real action. I don’t need to do that.” Thus, with so many opinions about Williams flying around these days, it will be interesting to see whether the youngster has a bright future ahead of the Draft.
