As the transfer window approaches its closing, people are starting to talk about the Colorado Buffaloes program. Unfortunately, the team has been in the news for all the wrong reasons lately. Many players have left the program, causing negative publicity. Moreover, Coach Prime has also been criticized. 

However, Colorado freshmen Brandon Davis-Swain and Cash Cleveland have appeared on the YouTube podcast DNVR Buffs to share some positive insights about the program. Will their comments help heal the wounds left by Cormani McClain’s departure?

All’s good in Colorado for Davis-Swain and Cleveland

According to reports, 16 players have left the Colorado Buffaloes program. Many of them have spoken negatively about it. However, Davis-Swain and Cleveland have different opinions. Davis-Swain turned down an offer from Michigan to join Colorado. He believes Colorado has everything a student-athlete could want, including a great coaching staff. Cleveland agrees and believes that the Buffaloes are known for their coaching superiority. 

His teammate, offensive lineman Cleveland, adheres to the same belief. In his opinion, the Buffaloes are known for their coaching superiority, “You’re not going to get an experience anywhere else I mean as much guys coaches in the league that we’ve had if you’re on the defensive side of the ball and you’re in the secondary you’ve got literally the best corner to ever play the game of football.” He concluded his analysis with one firm statement, “Why not Colorado? Why anywhere else you got everything you need at Colorado.” However, this goes as an antithesis to McClain’s stance. 

Cormani & Thomas’ experience of hardships with the Buffaloes

McClain made one big claim about Colorado Buffaloes’ culture. According to the cornerback, all Deion Sanders and his program run after is social media attention. As put forward by McClain, “I feel like I just don’t want to play for clicks. I actually want to be involved with a great leading program that’s going to develop players.” The player promised to commit to “a real and a great program” for his plan. This, in a way, questions the credibility of Coach Prime’s Buffaloes.

Another player, Bishop Thomas, also opened up about the “hard part” of being attached to Colorado. Now that the defensive lineman has committed to Georgia State, he shared his experience in a podcast. “Me, coming here, not used to cameras on my face. I was just being myself, man. Everything you see, that was just me. It was all raw. I don’t want to say it was hard because I adapted to my environment. But I feel like it’s tricky. It’s very tricky,” revealed Thomas.

According to Thomas, Deion Sanders and the company’s content on social media also contains layers of artificiality. Now, it remains to be seen whether the players interested in joining Coach Prime’s company will rely on the freshmen’s opinions or the reviews that the transfers have left.
