Time is running out for the Buffaloes. With just three regular-season games remaining, the Deion Sander’s Colorado finds themselves two victories short of becoming Bowl-eligible. Their hopes were doomed as they suffered their third consecutive loss on Saturday, falling to the Oregon State Beavers 26-19. This marked their fifth defeat in six games, therefore ranking the Buffs at (4-5, 1-5 Pac-12), pushing them below the .500 mark for the first time this season. Will Coach Prime manage to secure a playoff spot?

Well, he sure is going full steam ahead and has called for a press conference to address their defeat last week and also to touch upon the agenda for their upcoming match against The University of Arizona on Saturday at noon. He addressed his players to practice and perform like clockwork for their upcoming game, drawing close reference to the Indianapolis 500-Mile Race, or simply Indy 500. His speech was captured quite vividly in Well Off Media’s latest YouTube drop.

Colorado’s fight against currently ranked 23, Arizona, will not be easy. Ahead of their match, Coach Prime prepares his players by drawing references to racing. Though he is not a big racing fan himself, he understands the sport and has visited the Indy 500 a couple of times. It amuses him “how everybody come together for one coming goal.” Irrespective of the fact that everybody has a different role and different job, the highlight is that “they don’t worry about the other person they just go out there and do the job,” they are assigned. There were no miscommunications, and no hesitations since they anticipated what was going to happen and were prepared for it.

Deion Sanders called upon his players to take inspiration from the way the teams functioned at the racing events and incorporate their clockwork into Colorado’s gameplay for their upcoming match since they must win at least two more matches to become playoff-eligible. Prime time advised the Buff to concentrate on performing their individual duties, without hesitation and leaving no room for miscommunications.

This according to Sanders, is necessary for the team to function effectively. Sanders also made it clear that both his sons, Shilo and Shedeur will be appearing for the NFL Draft in 2025, giving him enough time to build the Colorado program successfully.

On The Dan Patrick Show, the Colorado head coach stated, “They’re going to come out [for the NFL Draft] at the same time—next year.” He continued, “They’re not trying to leave daddy this year by the way,” clarifying the fact that both his sons will be returning to school in the coming year. While Colorado’s season has been on the downhill after a brief promising start, Shedeur Sanders has thrived. The young quarterback amassed 2,882 passing yards, 24 touchdowns, and only two interceptions. He boasts a 70.1 percent completion rate and has added three rushing touchdowns to his impressive stats.

Despite his potential as a possible first-round pick, it seems both Shedeur and his older brother Shilo, who had not been able to generate much draft interest, will wait until 2025 to enter the NFL draft. This decision could effectively solidify Shedeur’s status as a top-five pick and subsequently allow Shilo to gain some ground before the duo presents themselves to the draft team.
