Coach Prime coming to Colorado changed a lot of things quickly. From selling out every regular game to becoming ESPN’s most-watched football matchup with 9.3 million views against CSU, Deion Sanders’ impact is phenomenal, considering that the CU Buffs are one of the silent college football programs. In the financial aspect, Colorado’s merchandise sales spiked by a 700% increase.

Not only that but after the remarkable change last season, the University of Colorado experienced a record-breaking 68,000 applications, with about 50% from the Black community, for the 2024 fall semester. NIL-wise, Coach Prime partnered with 5430 Alliance, which joined the 5430 Foundation with the Buffs4Life organization to improve Colorado’s NIL presence. With this being said, it’s no surprise if everyone is curious about how Deion Sanders and Colorado are making things happen this way.

Former San Francisco 49ers head coach Steve Mariucci arrived in Boulder to drop a reality bomb on the Buffs players. He said, “The whole world’s watching you… I’m just telling right now. People don’t know what’s going on there that it’s happening so fast… You guys are being watched so do everything what this man [Deion] asked you to do because he’s asking to do the right things.

The former NFL HC coached with Coach Prime at the Under Armour All-American game for years and partnered with him at the NFL Network for several years. Mariucci, who previously praised Deion Sanders for his strong leadership qualities in shaping young college kids, also delivered a blunt warning, saying, “Some people are on your side and saying this is really exciting, and some people are just kind of rooting against you because it’s like not supposed to happen this fast.” Indeed, Deion Sanders’ arrival in Colorado turned many aspects around, and all eyes were on them as they geared up for their spring football weekend.
