Born in December 1978 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Nicole developed a deep passion for basketball from a young age, nurtured by her parents, Terry and Lori Tendler. Raised in Sioux Falls, Nicole received a quality education from reputable public schools, laying the groundwork for her future endeavors.
She later pursued higher education at Augustana University, where she graduated in 2001 with a degree in fitness management. During her college years, Nicole also showcased her athletic prowess as a member of the university’s basketball team, embodying her love for sports and fitness.

Their connection was immediate, described by both as love at first sight. The pair quickly fell deeply for each other, culminating in their marriage just a year later.
