The college transition of Emmanuel Henderson

Henderson initially came in as a running back and agreed to take the receiver’s position, as the coaches there advised him to do so, and his skillset both as a receiver and as a running back could be a dual threat for the opponents. The 6-foot, 185-pound Emmanuel Henderson follows a consistent workout routine, which helped him achieve a 40-yard dash time of 4.3 seconds, a record that places him among the fastest players in college football.

Along with discovering his receiver ability, one of Alabama’s coaches noticed more things about him.”Emmanuel has made great strides in understanding the nuances of route running; he’s learning how to set up defenders and create space,” said JaMarcus Shephard, Alabama’s wide receivers coach. Apart from Shepherd, head coach Nick Saban also came forward to praise Henderson. “He’s not just an athlete; he’s a football player; he understands the game and is always looking to improve.” Nick Saban further added, “Emmanuel’s speed changes the game; he can take the top off a defense, and that opens up so many possibilities for our offense.” If you believe what his coaches say about him and what analysts describe, he might be one of the top receivers at Alabama.

Moving forward, as Alabama heads towards the upcoming season, Henderson’s role is expected to be important as many key offensive players were drafted in the NFL and the team will require new players to take the charge. Apart from that, a buzz is going on about the WR position at Alabama because there are other new receivers on the team as well, such as Ryan Williams, who could be a possible competition for Henderson.
