Gridiron coaches always aim to select the best fit before recruiting any player. The same thing occurred with D’Andre Barnes, the Nebraska defensive back. But the three-star prospect had to wait long for his recruitment and on this note, he mentioned, “I knew there would be an opportunity somewhere late in the process to be where I belonged. I knew I had to be patient, and it was hard to do that, but I believed that Power 5 chance would come.” The star athlete did not leave hope and continued his practice.

From junior year, he showcased his talent through his 37 receptions for 645 yards and seven touchdowns. He chose Huskers for his own improvement as he didn’t have a lot of film on the defensive side.
