His mother is not American; she grew up in Paris and later came to the US. As fate would have it, she met his father, Sean Weaver, and they fell in love, eventually starting a family together. Nadine currently works as an executive manager for a marketing company, maintaining a dedicated professional life apart from her roles at home.
His father is a well-known personality in Los Angeles. He spent four successful seasons playing for the Chargers as a cornerback. Hailing from California, he has moved around the country before settling in Orlando with his family. His strong mentality and examples were enough for Xavier to become the first person from his school to sign with an FBS team.
His parents have played an essential part in his life, attending games and being present in his sporting decisions. While his mother is French, spending most of her childhood in Europe, he has accepted he never caught hold of the language. “She might be mad at us for something,” Weaver said with a laugh in an interview in November 2021, referring to his and his brothers’ lack of French understanding.
However, with a background and family structure as strong as the Weavers’, it’s clear where his success stems from. Weaver has enjoyed the backing of his family on all steps, more so when they went through a tough family situation before 2016. Their desire to stick for each other eventually paid off when his mother survived thyroid cancer, thus imparting a spirit of never giving up and always having a solid head for their lives.

The toughest period in the Weaver household
Despite growing up in a supportive household, what the Weaver family went through is a testament to how uncertain and unfair life can sometimes be. Before 2016, Nadine was diagnosed with thyroid cancer, which she effortlessly fought and made a complete recovery. Sharing her battle with cancer, Nadine said, “Of course, my kids were concerned, but I wasn’t going to lеt it slow me down becausе I am a strong woman. I’ve never been that pеrson to sit in the corner and complain. I’ve never been that little chicken. If there’s a problem, you attack it. You don’t run from it. I think my kids havе that kind of strength.“
After overcoming cancer and surviving multiple sessions of chemotherapy and heavy medical dosages, she proved that she was undoubtedly a strong woman. This episode early in his life had a lasting effect on Xavier, whose worldview changed after it. He thoroughly believes that nothing is impossible and no obstacle is insurmountable.

Learning from his mother’s example, he recognizes the weight carried by the word ‘cancer’ in his life. Talking about his dedication to the sport, and the will to deliver constantly, he said, “That’s why I go all out, all the timе. You’re not promisеd anything. I want to show out on every play.” Weaver has been open about the strong bonds he shares with his mother and how he looks her up for all his strength, as she has been in the stands, supporting her son’s dreams since he was five.
