Taurean Carter, a young and talented defensive tackle, was born on March 5, 2001, to Chantal Brown and Taurean Carter Sr. in Mansfield, Texas. In January 2024, Carter decided to play his final year of college with Colorado.

His father, who shares his name, has played an important role in his upbringing and development as a football player. Apart from his parents, Tauren shares his place in Texas with his four siblings, Z’Kharyah, Anthony, Don, and Natilya. The Carter family lives a private life

Beyond the names of his parents and siblings, no additional personal or professional information about his family is available online. The former Arkansas defensive lineman has never shared any photos with his parents or siblings on any social media platform.

Leaving Carter’s first-ever team was not easy for him as well as for his family. He received immense emotional support from his mother, Chantal Brown when he decided to play for Colorado. On the other hand, he was also very excited and happy to join his new team, sharing his thoughts and feelings with NewsOn3.

He said, “I mean, who wouldn’t want to play for the most looked-at team in college football?” Going to Colorado would be an opportunity of a lifetime, and I wouldn’t pass it up for anything because they believe in me and my ability to have a positive impact on the Buffs’ defense.” 

Standing 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighing 303 pounds, the three-star transfer has spent four years of his college career at Arkansas. He has a total of 60 tackles and 2.5 sacks during that period.

New defensive linemen for the Buffaloes played in all 12 games for the Razorbacks in 2023, recording 25 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and two quarterback hurries. Unfortunately, he missed the entire 2022 season because of a knee injury suffered towards the end of spring practice.

According to the On3 Industry Ranking, Carter was ranked No. 568 in 2019. He was also listed as the No. 61 defensive lineman and the No. 67 player in Texas.
