Rome Odunze, a talented kid from Nevada, is a rising American football WR who played for the Washington Huskies. The football prodigy was skilled at multiple sports, like baseball and football. Rome Odunze was born on June 3rd, 2002, to James Odunze and Necia Bunnell in Las Vegas, Nevada. Rome’s mother, Necia, is a well-known real estate agent in Las Vegas and works for Coldwell Banker Premier Realty, Nevada. She has two websites registered for her real estate business. Though not much is known about his father, he played a significant role in baptizing his son, Rome.

In his own words, Rome explained why he was named such by his father as he says, “My pops just really liked the Roman empire, with some of the key, cool things within it, in how far and expanded in some of the things they do and some of the cultural influence they’ve had on the world.” The choice of name reflects that James was interested in civilization and football, as reflected by Rome’s IG post.
Rome’s social media posts also reveal that he probably has two brothers, Promise Odunze and Christian Vaughn. It also revealed that he has been dating Alannah Davidson, a fellow student from the University of Washington, since March 14th, 2021. He spent his early days playing for Henderson Lions before graduating from Bishop German High. He joined the University of Washington in 2020 and started playing as their WR, where he impressed them with his performance. Now, he is ready to up the ante to the NFL level.

What is Rome Odunze’s destiny for the upcoming NFL draft?
Rome Odunze is being regarded as one of the top WRs in the upcoming NFL draft, with some even pitting him against Malik Nabers of LSU, another top prospect among WRs. In a recent YouTube video, analysts Jack and Austin argued about who the Tennessee Titans should choose using their draft pick, eventually considering Malik Nabers as a better option for the Titans (pick #7).

Hence, Rome Odunze could see himself as the 13th pick for the New Orleans Saints. However, a recent picture from Garrett Wilson of the New York Jets indicates that Odunze may be interested in joining them. Dov Kleiman posted the photograph on 22nd March on X, displaying the two WRs hanging out together.
