You must have seen Mason Cobb’s Polynesian tribal tattoo covering his shoulder and forearm, but have you noticed three letters in blazing scarlet ink in the center of his tattoo? “F.O.E. It’s the motto of Cobb’s life and sends a great message. The full form of these letters is “family over everything.” He was born and raised in Provo, Utah, in a competitive environment. Cobb is the second youngest among his 5 brothers, who made him compete in every task like playing basketball and playing cards, which they used to do while growing up. Cobb remembers those days and says, “Those guys used to bully me, but I think it helped in the long run.”  This guy just brings positivity to everything, and that is because of his Polynesian beliefs.

Since he was very young, his parents and grandparents have made sure to teach him the importance of family values. His mom, Ruth Cobb, says that in Polynesian culture, family stays at the forefront for everyone, and “the way you act reflects on your last name.” He’s always doing that, and his mom would be so proud to see him like that. Besides his mom, no additional details about his dad, Daniel Cobb, are available till now. Mason Cobb, who lives by such high values, says that it was his grandfather who he finds as a role model. Unfortunately, Cobb mentioned that his grandpa passed away recently.”He’s a soldier man, and of man, he worked until his last breath.” Cobb was heard saying this regarding his grandpa. To honor his memory, he took the field at Notre Dame and scored five tackles in the game. He probably picked up the whole professionalism thing from his granddad. Early days and college career of Mason Cobb

6-foot 231 pounds Mason Cobb is phenomenally fast, with a record of 4.70 seconds in the 40-yard dash. This reflects his athletic nature on the field. Cobb is best known for his unique playing style and defensive techniques. To get better at what he does., he attended Provo High School and initiated his football journey. During that time, he participated in the regional championship game, which went very well for him and garnered him the title of a three-star recruit. 

Later, he joined Oklahoma State for three years before transferring to southern California. Today Cobb is a multi-talented senior at USC. To sum up his college career, he gathered 191 tackles for 23 losses and 2 pass breakups, in addition to 1 forced fumble, 1 fumble recovery, and 1 reception overall in the 42 games that he played. While coming to the Trojans, he led the defense and contributed to 85 tackles for 19 yards with 7 losses and 1 fumble recovery, along with 2 pass deflections in a total of 11 games. After giving such hit performances, he got a spot on the Phil Steel all-Pac-12 second team.
