Is Josaiah Stewart the next big thing for Michigan, thanks to his strong family support?

He’s a freak,” teammate Braiden McGregor said, describing the presence of excellent DE of Michigan, Josaiah Stewart, in the team. On that spot, Wolverines expressed that Stewart might not be as big as Mike or Aidan, but he is really incredible as a performer. On that note, the three-star prospect won a National Championship, in his first season with Michigan in 2023. Hence, it reflects that the junior rising star put all his blood, sweat, and tears into getting to the position where he is now. 

You can imagine the support system he got from his parents was tremendous as well as impelling. Otherwise, at his early age, achieving such fame and popularity with remarkable skill is quite impossible. However, there is no information publicly available regarding Stewart’s parents and family members. But the journey of the defensive end can be influential for many young minds. Josaiah Stewart’s football journey and background history

Born on April 26, 2003, in the Bronx, New York, Josaiah Stewart attended Everett High School. From high school, he started to play football and the most interesting point is that he had a high school teammate named Mike Sainristil is the one who recruited Stewart for the Michigan Wolverines. Mike said to the Michigan Insider, “He’s a dawg. That’s my boy. I played with him in high school.” Describing his potential and caliber on the gridiron, Mike also added “Every single snap, he’s aggressive,“. Hence, through performance, the junior three-star athlete caught the eyes of fans and coaches from school time.

Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, Stewart’s senior season of high school was canceled. After high school, in 2021, Stewart committed to play college football at Coastal Carolina University. In his two-year journey with Coastal Carolina, Stewart earned many titles such as First-team All-Sun Belt, Freshman All-American, and Second-team All-Sun Belt. After that, on December 18, 2022, Josaiah joined Michigan to continue his immense love for football. The future of Michigan DE with the Wolverines 

Stewart started his journey with Michigan in 2022, but in 2023 he helped the Wolverines defeat Nebraska and he named the Big Ten Co-Defensive Player of the Week because of his remarkable performance. By the end of the 2023 season, Stewart played 15 games for Michigan and he recorded 38 tackles in total. Currently, the three-star prospect ranked 9 as an edge rusher in college football prior to the 2024 season. Additionally, he switched from no.5 to no.0 after Sainristil’s departure to the NFL Draft. Now, it is expected that entering his senior season Michigan’s DE will put his heart and soul into bringing success for the Wolverines.
