The state’s No. 1 prospect elite CB, Jaylen Mbakwe able to make a name in his early 18 because of his incredible performance. The five-star athlete joined Alabama as a defensive back, but after his first game one day, his coach came and said “he needed me to play quarterback.” In reply to that, Jaylen said, “Yes, sir. I’ll be making that happen, and whatever I’ve got to do to make this team win a state championship, I’ll do it.” Hence, you can imagine the love held by the young CB for his team.

Joining Alabama was a dream come true situation for the five-star athlete and on that note, he said, “I can’t wait to get the experience of a national championship and traveling, “. Mbakwe’s family’s contribution to his football journey

Born on September 28, 2005, in Pinson, AL, Mbakwe turned 18 years old on Thursday and celebrated his birthday in front of a national audience with a 36-33 win over Thompson. His parents, Chika Mbakwe and Gabrielle Mbakwe, were also present there to join him. Most importantly, his mother wore a shirt with a bedazzled outline of her son on the back. Along with that, his father was there to boost his confidence. Hence, it is very clear that Jaylen’s parents are the primary support system for his journey.

However, no information regarding the profession of Mbakwe’s parents is publicly available, so the family backgrounds of the young cornerback are untouched. The most interesting fact is that during the time of visiting Alabama, his mom was with him and his dad was over the phone; after meeting with the coach, Nick Saban, when it was sure that Jaylen got the scholarship, they were very proud of their son. Jaylen pursued his passion for football at Clay-Chalkville High School. He had more than 60 offers in hand before his junior year and he was named MVP of the state championship game. Additionally, he threw 282 yards and 4 touchdowns in his high school career. After that, he enrolled his name in Alabama over offers from LSU, Georgia, USC, Notre Dame, and more for his college football. Although Nick was the main reason for his joining, after the retirement of Nick, he continued his journey with Crimson Tide. Currently, the cornerback is preparing himself for the upcoming championship so that he brings more to the team.
