However, he stayed vitally present at practices and team activities, and that made him stand out from the crowd.

20-year-old Jalon Daniels is a rising star in the football world. Daniel was born and raised in Lawndale, California, a small town in Los Angeles County. He has been living with his family, who nurtured him with love and support at every step of his journey. While Jalon shares a special bond with his mother, who played a big role in shaping his life on and off, it is almost like getting to know the family makes you know Jalon better.

Satr Daniels Jalon’s mom has always been a role model for her son. After Jalon’s father left them, she ultimately raised him on her own before marrying Tyrone in 2015. Star has been working very hard to combat every need of her sons. Long ago, she used to work in insurance claims, along with continuing her passion for event planning. “She did as much as she could to provide for me,” said Jalon while getting emotional about his mom. Then, recalling his mother’s efforts, he talks about how everything was planned for his eight-year-old birthday party, which had a Packer theme. However, apart from her mom, there is another major person in his life.

That’s Jalon’s stepdad, Tyrone Dubois-Daniels. Tyrone has been a significant figure in Jalon’s life since he got married to his mom. On the work front, Tyrone comes from an IT background and eventually started his own IT business. To showcase his support for Jalon, he says, “He has a village that’s there through thick and thin.” It’s a kind of rare bond that a stepdad shares with his son, and Tyrone’s presence must be a backbone in Jalon’s life. While talking about his football journey, Jalon says, “Being able to represent KU football, I represent my family,” and that showcases the importance of his family in his life. Now that Jalon can pursue his NFL dreams, much of the credit goes to his encouraging family. Jalon is already on his way to achieving his dream of playing in the NFL, and the kind of stats he has made show that he’ll soon be able to live that dream.

The super-talented QB Jalon Daniels attended Lawndale High School in California and initiated his football career. Meanwhile, Jalon completed 370 passes for 5145 yards and 61 touchdowns, only for 18 interceptions at the time of his junior year. Several renowned universities made offers to him after his outstanding performance. When his senior year came, Jalon Daniels led the Lawndale Cardinals to a 10-2 record and a CIF Southern Section Division 4 championship. Such hit scores led him to enter Kansas for his bright college career. 

As a freshman, he got to play in 7 games and made 76 out of 152 passes for 718 yards, along with 1 touchdown and 4 receptions. However, as a sophomore, he saw more play time and ended up with 81 of 117 passes for 860 yards and 7 touchdowns along with 3 interceptions. That season was memorable for him for mainly two reasons: he led the team, and Kansas won a historic game against Texas. With time, his performance got better and better, continuing with 56 of 75 passes for 705 yards and 5 touchdowns in just three games during the 2023 season.
