Eugene Brooks has quickly gained importance in college football, and now he will give his talent to the Oklahoma Sooners. Four-star and ranked 185th in the nation for 2024, Brooks officially enrolled at OU in January of this year. He has several achievements as a high school and collegiate athlete and is disciplined in the field and academics.

Eugene Brooks created a storm in high school football and track before he joined the Sooners. Brooks comes from Las Vegas, Nevada. He is schooled at the Sierra Canyon High School in California, where his performances are acknowledged. He was awarded the status of the second-team all-state for California in 2022 and the Most Valuable Lineman at the All-Mission League. Aside from football, Brooks was also a track star, particularly in the shot put, and is the winner of the 2023 CIF Southern Section Division IV shot put crown and had a personal best of 56-0 in the shot put competition and 127-1 in the discus. The reasons that influenced him were the friendly environment and the chance to create football history in Oklahoma. “They were recruiting me the hardest,” Brooks said. “They were showing a lot of love. I was talking to coach Bedenbaugh every day, and it was that time where I knew this was home.”
