With Branson Robinson's talent, are we looking at the next big NFL star from the Georgia Bulldogs?

Twenty-year-old Branson Robinson, hailing from Gluckstadt, Mississippi, is a five-star recruit who attended Germantown High School. In 2022, he committed to the University of Georgia as a running back and hasn’t looked back since. Each member of his family, including their extended relatives, shares a close bond.

Robinson’s parents, Reginald and Kristy Robinson, played a major role in his football career. They are always involved in every decision he makes in academics and football. Reginald Robinson, his father, is self-employed. He loves cars and spends most of his time around cars and repair shops. Bralon Robinson is Robinson’s older brother, who is five years older than him. He graduated from Alcon State with the Alcorn State records in the 60 meters (6.65) and the 100 (10.20) in the program.

Robinson and his family visited Georgia several times before deciding it was the one for him. His father gave it an “A+” review for the trip. He said, “I really can’t see any areas that I would give them a sub-par grade in,” Reginald Robinson said. “I’m almost like the kids. Everything is above board. Georgia is not new to the recruiting game. They know what to say and what to display and what to highlight.” This highlights his father’s involvement in his life.

Talking about the most fun part of the visits for them as a parent was “Karaoke Night at Kirby Smart’s house,” his father said. “That was actually the most fun. Just sitting down and mingling and networking and talking to everyone there. It was a good atmosphere. We weren’t talking about Georgia or football. We were just kids singing and listening to old songs we grew up on,” Dawg Nation reported.

Not only his parents but Robinson himself enjoyed the trip to his current university, and he didn’t want their trip to end. He said, “I didn’t want to leave. That was the only sad part. I take that back. The dull moment was I didn’t want to leave. I had so much fun. I wanted to stay here.”

Except for his family, Robinson shared a strong connection with his late uncle, Bryan Jerome Robinson, and his young cousin, Riley Robinson. His uncle was shot and killed. “He was nothing but like 27 years old and he left a daughter behind. That just pushed me even more. I want his daughter to grow up knowing that my uncle was a great man. I play for him also. That gave me extra motivation,” Branson Robinson said to Dawg Nation.

“He was killed and left behind like a three-year-old daughter,” Robinson said. “That really motivated me to show everybody what I can do and to show him watching down on me what I can do and everything like that. To provide for my little cousin and everything like that. To show everyone how great he was.” Riley means everything to their family.

Branson Robinson’s relationship with his mother and older brother

Robinson was profoundly hurt and depressed when he got to know he was going to miss his sophomore season because of an injury. He was concerned about the impact of the injury on his playing career. But he had his family’s back, as always. He relied on his family during his difficult time. In conversation with The Players Lounge, he stated, “My parents (were) there and my mom, especially… She was always there and ,you know, anytime I needed to call and get a little pick me up, she was there. So I’ll definitely say my parents played a vital role at the beginning. They still (are there) to this day, but the very beginning, that’s who I clung on to the most.

His oldest sibling, Bralon, is his biggest support after his parents. He is Robinson’s go-to person and takes immense pride in calling Robinson his little brother. “A proud big brother moment for me was when he was playing Little League football and he got the handoff, reversed field and outran everyone for his first Little League touchdown,” Bralon Robinson said. I knew then he would be special.”

Bralon is also a great athlete who plays various positions, such as receiver, cornerback, quarterback, and running back and has handled kick returns.
