Is Aaron Flowers the next big thing in the NFL, thanks to his family's unwavering support?

Among the 2024 recruiting class, Aaron Flowers stands out as a prominent safety. At a very early age, this four-star athlete earned a lot of success, which is quite impossible without strong family support. Although there is no information publicly available regarding the Oregon defensive back’s family background, it is very clear that his upbringing instilled a love for sports in him. 

Aaron’s decision to commit to Oregon was difficult, as, in 2023, Oregon finished with a top-10 class but could not touch any top. That is why Flowers was in dilemma and visited other colleges, also like Alabama, where defensive backs are routinely groomed for the NFL. Making the fans surprised, the four-star DB chose to play with the Ducks for some reason. Let me tell you that interesting story.  

The reason for Aaron’s choice

The story has a touch of irony. Pulling him from the Ducks, the Sooners picked up the surprise commitment of Peyton Bowen. Now, returning the favor, the Ducks picked up the surprise commitment of Flowers. However, the situation was not that simple as Flowers had more than 20 offers in hand at that time, including USC, Oklahoma, and more.

On April 7, 2023, Flowers announced his commitment to the Oregon Ducks, and he enrolled his name on January 8, 2024. During his announcement, Flowers said, “It was a very hard decision, and I know each fan base is so passionate, as they should be,”. Moreover, expressing the reason for making this decision, he said, I just felt as if Oregon was just a better fit for me. I just felt comfortable there, and it just felt like home whenever I saw it.” Let’s take a glimpse into the performance and achievements of Organ DB till now.

Born in Forney, TX, Flowers attended Forney High School and he started playing from that place. However, on his whole journey, his father, Patrick, played a huge role as he ensured Flowers that he would travel to see him play regardless of where he ended up. Flowers’ father is a mechanical engineer and is originally from South Carolina. Conversely, his mother’s support inspired him to move forward on his journey

Till now, Flowers has been crowned with several titles such as top-75 overall recruit by 247Sports, no. 6 safety recruit nationally, no. 13 cornerback in the country by ESPN, and more. Currently, the defensive back preparing himself for the upcoming 2024 season so that the Ducks can take a desirable place.
