The Michigan scandal verdict is as polarizing as the NCAA sign-stealing provisions itself. Allegations have created uncertainty and potential penalties for the football program. The controversy surrounding sign-stealing arises due to the ambiguity of the rules, leading to widespread acknowledgments from NFL players, coaches, and analysts that suggest the probability that “Everyone has been guilty to some extent.”

As many had anticipated, players “rally around Coach Harbaugh” as the Wolverines take the field against Penn State. Video footage depicting a completely sold-out Beaver Stadium, University Park depicts thousands of NFL fans chanting in unison against a verdict that could potentially adversely affect Michigan’s performance.

While many have openly accused Harbaugh of violating the rules of the game, branding him a “cheater,” thousands gathered at the  Beaver Stadium, University Park for the much anticipated Wolverines and Penn State match-up chant in unison- Where is Harbaugh?” An experience worthy of sending chills down any NFL fan’s spine, under the present circumstances. Jim Harbaugh who serves a three-game sideline ban will have to let his players march without him, even though he still has his fingerprints all over the gameplan.

Due to the controversy around his potential involvement, coaching staff member Connor Stalions has resigned. In his statement, he aimed to prevent unnecessary distractions for the Michigan football program that could impact the team’s performance. The Wolverines bank heavily on their star quarterback J.J. McCarthy alongside standouts like tight end Colston Loveland and receivers Cornelius Johnson and Roman Wilson. Despite navigating through difficult times, the Wolverines aim for success this season. The Michigan coaching staff fill in the void, only momentarily.
