Ever since the EA Sports College Football 25 has dropped its cover, rumors have started to flare up. Now that Travis Hunter has beaten Colorado Buffaloes’ quarterback sensation to earn himself a spot as the only Buff in the cover, fans refused to let go of the golden opportunity. Going by the speculations there seems to be a cold undercurrent flowing between the two Buffs.

But here came Deion Sanders on the May 30 Well Off Media video, where he has been left nothing but surprised with the beef rumors. Does this stamp of approval come from Coach Prime’s love split between his son and the protector of his son?

After a distressing transfer season, the Deion Sanders squad is back to normal routine and is now sweating it out with the summer workout. Amidst their quest to be the best, fans have come up with the beef rumors. However, Coach Prime with his signature charm and wit disregarded any scope of hostility between Hunter and Shedeur. As Deion Jr. held the camera to Deion Sanders, the Buffs HC delved into the matter, “This is how crazy and ignorant people are that Shedeur and Travis beef… this is how stupid people are because Travis was on the game and Shedeur is mad like no…What is wrong with people man?”

The rumors started to fatten up when Shedeur posted the part of the EA Sports trailer on his Instagram story, but unknowingly he omitted the part where it featured Hunter. Besides not appreciating the two-way phenom publicly, in the Memorial Day Cookout, Shedeur and Hunter were seen enjoying time separately and not even for once has been spotted together. Even though Coach Prime took an unbiased approach, it now seems that he favors his son a bit more.

Unexpected turns in Shedeur-Travis narrative

For both Shedeur and Hunter, this will be their last lap in college football, Deion Sanders has already come up with a plan for the NFL debut. While paving the future for his son, Coach Prime ensured to do the same for Hunter. In April, the Buffs HC confirmed that he would only allow his son and Hunter to join certain NFL teams in the future. Hence, he has been no less than a guardian to the Colorado’s two-way star. His concern further re-surfaced in one of his interviews about Hunter where he claimed, “We have a tremendous relationship, and I know him and I know when he needs rest.”

However, ever since EA Sports dropped its cover, there has been a slight change in the dynamics in the Colorado family. As the players are gradually getting inducted into the program, for their induction ceremony on May 29, Shedeur was introduced to the revamped roster as the main man and had been handed over the duty to address the players when it was supposed to be Hunter considering his latest breakthrough.

Shedeur being the most sacked player last season, Deion Sanders seemed to look up to Travis Hunter for being his son’s ultimate protector on the field. Now that Hunter has beaten the quarterback, it is now to be seen what masterplan the Buffs HC takes up to propel Shedeur to the spotlight.
