Dylan Raiola switching sides to Nebraska from Georgia has shocked everyone. Now the analysts are trying to understand the sudden change of plans. As told by folks on On3 Recruits the change occurred this Monday, “There was some kind of communication between him and Nebraska. And everything kind of exploded. That there was interest on both sides. He then sent an OV that he wouldn’t be moving to Georgia as expected.”

Kaelin had been committed to Nebraska since May 20, but things are shaping up differently now that Raiola is now showing signs of joining the side. There are familial ties that could be the reason for Raiola’s move to Nebraska. His father Dominic was a starting center player for Nebrasaka between 1998-2000. Dominic was a local cult hero as he won the Rimington Trophy and earned consensus All-American honors as a junior player. The special connection could motivate Dylan to move from Georgia to Nebraska. There’s another family connection as Raiola’s uncle Donovan is the current offensive line coach for the side.
