The Colorado spring football session is finally here, and Deion Sanders is wasting no time to prepare the Buffs for the rigorous sessions ahead.

With an eye on the preparations, practice will begin on March 18, with a spring break from March 25-31. Full-swing practice will resume on April 1, leading to their game at Folsom Field.

After finishing among the worst-ranked defenses in the nation, the Buffs needed to buckle up, and Coach Prime brought in Robert Livingston to change the story around the defensive side of the ball. The 38-year-old is full of vigor and hope for the Buffs, as is seen in his enthusiastic speech for the team’s defense. See how he envisions Colorado at the top of the game!

Robert Livingston instills motivation and expectations for the Buffs’ defense

As the players start to buckle up, they get a little pep-talk from their coaches, as captured by Bucky’s Well Off Media. Shilo Sanders and the defensive team round up their new DC and safeties coach Robert Livingston’s expectations, who said, “It’s always about us… The beauty of defense, it takes all 11 guys being on the same page and nobody’s out physicals. We do that for 15 days in the spring and I promise you we’re going to the moon.”

Since coming from the NFL after serving the Cincinnati Bengals, Livingston has been hopeful about his run with the Buffs. Right from the beginning, when he first joined Colorado, he said in a CU video, “I can promise you we will put a product on the field that will make you proud to be there. I can promise you we are going to do great things… I just can’t wait to put a product out there and be part of something bigger than myself that all of Buff nation can be proud of.” The time is nearing for his promises to get translated into the field.

A quick preview of Colorado spring game position battles

Let’s speculate what positions we can expect from the new faces who joined Coach Prime’s program this season. The offensive line is something to watch, given that there are a lot of new faces. The 5-star OT Jordan Seaton could take the left tackle spot while Khalil Benson and Savion Washington fight for the right tackle. There could be Tyler Johnson, Justin Mayers, and Tyler Brown as starting guards, but who knows? Brown might even take up the center spot along with Yakiri Walker and Hank Zilinskas.

As for the interior defensive line, Shane Cokes will be back as the returning starter, along with returning players like Chazz Wallace and Amari McNeill. So, it remains a mystery where potential transfers like Chidozie Nwankwo and Anquin Barnes would fit in. The second spring football practice under Deion Sanders will stretch across 15 sessions leading up to the “Black and Gold” spring game on April 27.
