Before the match began, the Wolverines walked on the field. They were all pumped up and ready to go. The team was stylin’ and profilin’. They formed a circle where the captains of any team usually give a speech. This time, the Wolverines paid tribute to a wrestling legend. The tight end Carter Selzer tried to fire up his team. He said, “Never seen a team like this, never seen a group like this. Let’s go kick some f**kin’ a**.” The Wolverines were pumped up more but the tight end added, “Two pumps and a Ric Flair.”

The 16-time world champion Ric Flair has been an avid supporter of the Michigan Wolverines. Having a legend like the kiss stealing, wheeling-dealing, the toughest son of gun Ric Flair by your side is enough of a morale boost. Maybe taking Flair’s name was the reason Michigan defeated Ohio and booked their tickets into the playoffs.

Ric Flair congratulates the Wolverines

On the third installment of his YouTube podcast, ‘Ric Flair Wooooo Nation Uncensored’ Flair read a text he got. The Nature boy had congratulated the head coach of the Wolverines, Jim Harbaugh. “Congratulations, you are the man,” Flair texted Harbaugh. The coach then texted Flair back, “Thanks pal, incredible ball team to be a part of. Humble, fearless, never careless.”

After the win over Ohio, Michigan is firmly in the national championship playoff picture and nobody’s happier than Flair. He predicted that Michigan will beat Ohio State.
