Coach Prime Deion Sanders has taken the Colorado Buffaloes’ training to the next level. Hiking up the Rocky Mountains doesn’t seem much of an effort compared to what he’s subjecting his Buffs to. The way spectators see it, it looks like the Buffs’ HC is preparing his players for war.
If Shilo Sanders had been calling out on his father’s coaching training as rigorous, there is no name for the new set of training with the mariners. And this time, he’s not the only one panting and puffing under the intense marine drill. It looks like the Buffs’ 5-star commit Jordan Seaton is faring even worse than the 23-year-old safety.

On Wednesday, Well Off Media captured an interesting episode of the Buffs training under members of the US Marines Corp. This special military-style training is by far the most extreme and intense training the Buffs have endured so far. It took place at the Champion Center practice field and was a true test of strength for Shilo Sanders and his teammates.
The drill consists of crawling, bear-walking, and running. Jordan Seaton appeared visibly frustrated as he breathed heavily complying with the mariners’ training drill. He put down his teammate and took a quick bent rest before picking up the ammo cans and trudging across the field to throw a grenade to a mariner. He then did a quick 5 pushups and trudged back to the finishing line with the ammo cans.

The 6’5, 287-pound No. 1 OT completed the session but not without the wind threatening to bust his lungs. Shilo Sanders, on the other hand, completed the drill faster than Seaton. But like every other Buffs, he also appeared visibly tired under the marine company of Brigadier General Ryans II and Sergeant Major Levy.
It’s funny to note that this extreme training session took place after Shilo Sanders took a shot at his father’s workout plan calling it outdated. He had recently told Coach Prime, “It’s tough but you gotta be more efficient… You can work smarter than harder.”

This latest Buffs drill is anything but easy and perhaps it’s not what Shilo Sanders had in mind when he dropped his advice to his father. Anyhow, to carve a diamond in the rough, there’s got to be pressure and Coach Prime is making sure his Buffs are in top shape when they finally hit the field for the 2024 season.
