Lewis was selected as one of 20 passers to participate in the nation’s top quarterback camp. And in no way that the quarterback will take it lightly. JuJu is definitely not new to Elite 11, which previously witnessed Justin Fields and Trevor Lawrence take part. Hence, it has been a dream come true moment for him as he confessed, “Elite 11 is the type of thing that every QB thinks about growing up.” However, as observed in the video shared of Lewis’ practice session prior to the main event, it is worth mentioning that JuJu displays impressive skills, captivating viewers with his unique throwing techniques.

This season, too, the competition stake is quite high as it comprises Notre Dame QB Deuce Knight and James Campbell, besides quarterback sensation Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele. Tavien St. Clair (Ohio State), Tramell Jones (FSU), and Keelon Russell (Alabama) are also part of the big race. However, the Lewis craze seems to overpower them all. Meanwhile, with great anticipation, Deion Sanders awaits the moment when he can shift the tide in his favor during this intense competition.

The personal connection of Deion Sanders stands out as a big advantage

Just before the NCAA football’s dead period begins, Deion Sanders and Co. have an interesting visit lined up for Lewis on June 21. But why this craze? The No. 1-ranked quarterback in the Class of 2025 by both ESPN and Rivals completed nearly 66% of his passes. How could Coach Prime just let go of this opportunity? JuJu’s visits to Auburn and Indiana have only solidified Sanders’ determination to win over Lewis. But how?

Sources say that JuJu’s father, T.C., and Coach Prime share a strong bond. On the Locked on Buffs podcast, guest Scott Procter spilled beans, “Dukes tells me that Coach Prime and Julian’s father talk about more than just football. They have a real kind of close friendship and that could just be the turning point that gets JuJu to flip from USC to Colorado.” Besides counting on the bond shared with Lewis’ father, Coach Prime did come up with some big plans.

Sanders asked the Buffs’ oldest fan, 99-year-old Peggy Coppom, to root for the QB in an enticing video where she said in Lewis’ favor, “We need you here in Colorado. Come on and get out here with us. Come out here in the best state in the union and help us win football games!” It’s now time to see which program will ultimately land Lewis and immerse themselves in his post-Elite 11 success.
