The transfer portal window saw many Colorado Buffaloes players leaving the team, with estimates suggesting over 40 departures. However, head coach Deion Sanders remained unfazed, believing his “Coach Prime Effect” will continue to attract talented players to Boulder.

Despite the Buffaloes’ previous losing season and Sanders’ demanding coaching style, it looks like young athletes still remain eager to learn from him. Eventually, the head coach managed to secure the nation’s eighth-best transfer class, bringing in a whopping 40 new players via the portal. This year’s recruiting efforts went beyond bolstering the already-strong offense led by Sanders’ son Shedeur. Recognizing the need for a reliable kicker, Sanders brought in Alexander Stoyanovich, a highly-rated recruit with a legendary pedigree.

On May 15, Alexander Stoyanovich, the nephew of former NFL All-Pro kicker Pete Stoyanovich, committed to Colorado.  This highly-rated recruit, ranked among the Top 44 high school kickers in Michigan, brings a proven track record of success, having led his team to multiple divisional victories. The excitement surrounding his arrival was further fueled by a viral video showcasing his effortless 63-yard field goal.

With Deion Sanders’ recruiting efforts, his quarterback son Shedeur Sanders and two-way phenom Travis Hunter will have even more help this year. The Colorado offense has already impressed everyone at the “Black & Gold” spring game, outscoring the defense with a 29-24 score. This also highlighted the team’s bolstered offensive line, which now has 10 new transfers, including top recruit Chris Morris.

Meanwhile, Deion also knows the importance of a good kicker for bigger leagues. So, he brought back Alejandro Mata, who played with him and Shedeur at Jackson State. They also added a new kicker, Stoyanovich, making a solid team for extra points and field goals. Thus making a wholesome roster. With such balanced talents, Coach Prime and the CU Buffs are looking to make a serious run this season, with a bowl game win seeming like a strong possibility.
